LOCATIONS

Welcome to The Bull Inn, a hidden gem located at 102 High St, Rotherfold, Totnes, TQ9 5SN, United Kingdom. This charming establishment offers more than just a typical pub experience; it’s a delightful blend of community spirit, exceptional dining, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The Bull Inn stands out for its commitment to quality, sourcing local and organic ingredients that make each dish not only delicious but also a celebration of seasonal flavors. As Sandra Rose, a recent visitor, noted, the menu is refreshingly varied, moving beyond standard pub fare while maintaining an inviting charm. From small plates that are perfect for sharing to more substantial offerings, there's something to satisfy every palate.

During a recent visit, I indulged in their impressive selection of small plates, each more delightful than the last. The emphasis on local and seasonal produce shone through, with ingredients that tasted fresh and vibrant. A highlight was the Nettle Gimlet, a cocktail that not only intrigued but also perfectly complemented the meal. The dedicated staff, including attentive servers like Greta, enhance the dining experience with their knowledge and friendly demeanor, making you feel right at home.

As Dean puts it, The Bull Inn is a cut above the rest, with excellent beer and superb service. The atmosphere is further enriched by a team that genuinely cares about their craft, creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining environment. Whether you're stopping by for a drink on a hot afternoon or settling in for a memorable meal, the hospitality at The Bull Inn is palpable. The establishment is dog-friendly, encouraging visitors to bring their furry friends along for the journey.

While some guests have noted the prices of select items, the consensus remains: you get what you pay for. The quality of food, attention to detail, and overall dining experience are well worth it, as echoed by Fay Fay who appreciated the effort to cater to dietary requirements with care and precision.

Whether you're a local or just passing through Totnes, make sure The Bull Inn is on your must-visit list. With its combination of delightful dishes, stunning interiors, and a warm community atmosphere, you'll leave with fond memories and a satisfied palate. As many have already discovered, this pub isn't just a place to eat; it's a vibrant destination where good food and happy hearts meet.

Came upon this place by chance whilst wandering around Totnes the first night of our holiday. The service was so welcoming and dog friendly. The food was amazing and the menu varied and far from the usual pub offerings. A lovely atmosphere and happy team, even the staff in the kitchen seemed relaxed and cheerful (ie not stressy or shouty ). All absolutely five stars. One tiny bit of criticism is that my glass of wine cost nearly 15 which took me by surprise - but it was, obviously given the standard of everything else, quite delicious and wouldn't detract from us going again.

If you visit Totnes I definitely recommend you call on for a drink and a bite to eat. Wander a little further along the High Street and around the corner to The Bull. I called in for a quick drink but was impressed with the building the location and the staff who clearly care deeply about what they do. The menu looked superb but sadly we had just eaten lunch. The beer is excellent, many thanks to the kind man behind the bar who let me taste some before ordering. Thoroughly recommended and a cut above for food, drink and accommodation.

Cut pub in a great location. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a wide range of options! The menu for lunch/dinner looked fantastic but sadly we didn’t get a chance to try it. I would highly recommend!

We had exceptional meals in this organic orientated restaurant/pub. Our server Greta was very cheery and helpful. The two duty managers were very knowledgeable regarding the provenance of the ingredients and the methods of cooking and preparation. Greta made our time fun and interesting. Thank you. The food was fresh, fantastic, and very tasty. We will hopefully return soon.

Stopped off here for a drink on a very hot Friday afternoon after walking through Totnes. Can't comment on the food, howeber what was being served looked delicious ! Had x 2 pints of local cider, which hit the spot, especially when it was sweltering outside. I can't remember what it was called, but it was the only one they had on tap. It's very refreshing and crisp Staff were really friendly, and the restaurant/bar looked like they really valued where all their food and drink came from across Totnes.

We didn't stay, just went for food as we had heard good things and found it to be similar to riverford field kitchen which we love and it didn't disappoint! The food was outstanding even down to the side of potatoes which were my favourite! The service was very attentive and everyone ear lovely although perhaps slightly too quick initially. 100% will be back and bringing friends and family. Couldn't compliment the food enough with the added bonus of the sustainable food and menu! Can't wait to try more of the food, would love to be able to access the recipes though!!
